National Training Course on Human Rights Education | 8 – 11 September

From 8 to 11 September, Verein Europa und Bildung is hosting a National Training Course on Human Rights Education in Graz together with Bildungsdirektion Steiermark and the European Council. Up to 30 participants will be able to get an insight into human rights and learn methods on how to pass on this knowledge in schools or different settings (such as EYP).

Participants need to participate on all four days to officially complete the training. Food will be provided, but accommodation needs to be organised by participants themselves. If you are interested, you can find more information and register here – there are no requirements for participation!

ASEM Youth Survey on Leadership

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in Singapore is currently welcoming students and youth aged 18-30 from Asia and Europe to contribute to the ASEM Youth Survey. ASEF is an intergovernmental organisation supported by the ASEM Partners, which are 51 Asian & European countries, including Austria, the European Union and the ASEAN Secretariat.

The ASEM Youth Report will be presented by youth representatives to the Heads of State and Governments at the 13th ASEM Summit and circulated through ASEF’s networks to Ministries of Education & Youth as well as youth organisations in both regions, with the aim of informing policy makers and relevant stakeholders.

All participating youth will receive an e-book on Leadership by the Center for Creative Leadership. In addition, one Asian and one European youth respondent will be selected through a lucky draw and receive a fully funded “Trainer Essentials” course by the UN System Staff College. You can complete the survey until 21 July.

EYP Austria Contact Form

With the start of the new board period, the Board of EYP Austria would like to remind you of the chance to send anonymous messages to the Board as a whole, which can be about feedback, new ideas, or anything you want to communicate to us. Whether you don’t know which Board Member would be best to approach for a situation, you don’t know any of the Board Members, or you’re uncomfortable with reaching out to us personally, the EYP Austria Contact Form can serve as a way to get your message out to us.

New submissions to the form will immediately get forwarded to the Board, which will treat them seriously and with care. Please note that if you don’t leave any contact information behind, we will not be able to get back to you personally, though we will still react publicly to relevant messages.

Of course, you can still also just approach the Board Members directly about any of your concerns and we’re always glad to interact with our members! You can find their contact information on our website.
