Legal Advisors

This week, we would like to continue our round of EYP Austria introductions with our Legal Advisors, Toni Dirlinger and Paula Kampits.

This role was established during the last Board period, with Legal Advisors being responsible for resolving legal questions and ambiguities connected to any of our organisation’s activities to safeguard and further improve our legal standards.

We are grateful to Toni and Paula for their expertise, as well as their dedication to the integrity of EYP Austria!

PBM#3 Report

During each board term, the Board of EYP Austria meets several times to discuss important matters in person, with the Advisory Board also typically attending to some degree for guidance. Over the past two days, the Board had its third Physical Board Meeting (PBM) in Hennersdorf.

As with all PBMs, a report has been compiled to inform our Members of the subjects talked about there, as well as the results of modules that will have a concrete impact on the organisation. So make sure to check out the report of PBM#3 to get an insight into the happenings of the Board and EYP Austria at large! Most notably, the Board gathered initial ideas for the upcoming Strategy Meeting (27 February), drafted a checklist of tasks regarding the organisation of sessions, gave its mid-term report on the National Strategy, and adjusted its plans for the rest of its term in light of the current status.

YouLead – Empowering Youth Ambassadors in the Fight Against Online Mis- and Disinformation

We currently live in a world where viral mis- and disinformation online can impede social justice, change the outcomes of presidential elections and even cost people their lives during public health crises. Therefore, the Global Campus of Human Rights is looking for young people who want to help be part of the solution by taking on biased algorithms, learning digital verification skills to spot fake or misused content and advocating for digital literacy within their respective communities.

Only 25 youths will be selected for this competitive online training programme which will take place in March 2022. Interested individuals aged 15 to 18 can send in applications until 10 January 2022. You can find out more and apply with a 2-minute video explaining your motivation to join here.

EYP Austria Contact Form

We would like to remind you of the chance to send anonymous messages to the Board of EYP Austria, which can be about feedback, new ideas, or anything you want to communicate to us. Whether you don’t know which Board Member would be best to approach for a situation, you don’t know any of the Board Members, or you’re uncomfortable with reaching out to us personally, the EYP Austria Contact Form can serve as a way to get your message out to us.

New submissions to the form will immediately get forwarded to the Board, which will treat them seriously and with care. Please note that if you don’t leave any contact information behind, we will not be able to get back to you personally, though we will still publicly react to relevant messages.

Of course, you can still also just approach the Board Members directly or through info@eyp.at (President) and board@eyp.at (all Board Members) about any of your concerns. We’re always glad to interact with our members! You can find our individual contact information on our website.
