We stand for … ! Europe’s youth in de CoFoE, what’s next? | 28 January
/in National UpdatesAs part of the Conference on the Future of Europe, the European Youth Card Association (EYCA) launched the Stand for Something campaign, which combined a large-scale online survey and street actions to get the voices and ideas of young people heard. The campaign was active across the continent with 22 activists from 17 countries and continues to advocate the positions of young people at all political levels.
In cooperation with the European Parliament and with the support of the Federal Youth Representation (Bundesjugendvertretung), the campaign results will be presented on Friday, 28 January, from 14:30 to 16:30. Pupils, students and young people are invited to discuss the findings together with Austrian MEPs.
Afterwards, we want to go further and debate what should happen after the Conference: How can we ensure that the ideas that have been expressed are actually pursued? What are the expectations of young people? What do the MEPs expect?
You can register for the online event here. Be there!

National Safe Person
/in National UpdatesAs we are going through all incumbents of unelected positions of EYP Austria, we would also like to use this chance to re-introduce EYP Austria’s National Safe Person Schila Labitsch (schila.labitsch@eyp.at).
As the EYP, we are determined to ensure our organisation constantly improves as a safe and welcoming environment for all! In this spirit, all 40 NCs in the network have for a while now put in place a robust system and policy to ensure the welfare of all those who step in our events.
Schila has been in EYP for 5 years, and currently serves as an independent point person who you can get in touch with if you experience any incident that you feel impacted your welfare in EYP, or if you would like to know more about existing policies and resources.
Additionally, our multi-day events always have Event Safe Persons, and you can also decide to submit a complaint about harmful behaviour at safe@eyp.org, which will be dealt with as confidentially as possible.
Feel free to email or message Schila if you have further questions!
