Invitation: Annual General Assembly 2012
/in National UpdatesEYP Austria hereby invites all Austrian EYP-ers to Vienna on 16. June 2012. It is time for the Annual General Assembly!
Besides a review of past events, it will be especially exciting to discuss EYP Austria’s future with everyone. Furthermore, the elections of EYP Austria’s new board. All registered members of EYP Austria are eligible to apply for board positions and/or vote in the board elections.
Everyone will get a chance to get involved and contribute to our activities. Hence, the board is looking forward to vast attendance. Make sure you don’t miss the most important assembly of EYP Austria.
Besides board positions, it is also possible to get involved in EYP Austria in many ways, for example on a regional basis at activities all over Austria, taking photos at EYP events and some other things. A perfect place to learn all about EYP Austria’s activities would be the General Assembly. All you need to get active is some enthusiasm, dedication and curiousity.

Invitation to Euroskop – Young Visions for Europe

Euroskop was founded by three young Germans who travel to many European capitals to discuss the current situation in Europe. They will come to Vienna on the 13th of May to ask young Austrians about their opinions. We would really like to invite you to share your opinion with our guests! We will meet at the Europaorganisationen Büro, Lassingleithnerplatz 2/3, 1020 Vienna at 17:00!
Afterwards you will have the possibility to do some socialising with us and all the other EYP-ers! Hope to see a lot of entusiastic young EYP-ers and have a wonderful and interesting discussion! If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask Teresa Gisinger or Nina Thomic!

Annual Report 2011
/in National UpdatesThe year 2011 has been a year of innovations in EYP Austria. Currently, EYP Days are daily business for EYP Austria and the concept is well known, however, at the beginning of the year 2011 noone in EYP Austria had experience with this type of sessions. Furthermore, the first Summer Event (this year called “Alumni Weekend”) was organised in 2011.

13th National Conference: Report on Vienna 2012
/in National UpdatesThe 13th year in a row EYP Austria is happy to celebrate another great National Conference. Our annual session gathered 40 experienced EYP-ers from all over Europe, who introduced 100 mainly first-time delegates to the wondrous world of the European Youth Parliament.
Following the session motto the young parliamentarians bridged the gap between hard work and a lot of fun. Starting with a sunny day of Teambuilding we enjoyed two days of productive Committee Work which was concluded by a very lively General Assembly on the last day.
Heavily discussed questions about the future of Europe‘s relationship with China or the dangers of increasing right-wing populism drove the delegates to perform at their very best and produce interesting resolutions. The participants also had time for some socialising over delicious traditional food at the Austrian Village and presented their best dance moves at the Theme Party dressed up like there was no tomorrow.
This year we also worked on improving the sustainability of our sessions, by replacing a great part of plastic cups with stylish reusable cups from the Museumsquartier. However, what really kept the environmentally friendly spirit alive a the session was the can-crusher. Sponsored by ‘Jede Dose Zählt’, this little helper made it great fun to recycle all the used cans.
Overall, the smooth interaction amongst all participants and the energetic mood they brought to our session made the 13th National Conference of EYP Austria an unforgettable event for everyone.

EYP-er of the Month: May 2012
/in National UpdatesJelena Stevanovic is doing great work as the EYP Austria Hoodie Coordinator. She is responsible for all hoodie orders and the delivery of the hoodies. She is also very dedicated to constantly improving our hoodie campaign and making everyone look amazing.
If you don’t already have a hoodie, we advise you to order your hoodie at once!
Vienna 2012 Resolution booklet
/in National UpdatesAfter two hard days of hot weather and intense work in Vienna, the participants of the 13th National Conference have produced eight resolutions that deal with burning European topics ranging from Turkey to the European technology sector.
