Lea Bogensperger and Eva Reitbauer have spent over a year preparing and organising the European Youth Forum Graz 2013. The Forum, which took place from the 8th to 12th of July, summoned 90 EYPers from all over Europe under the historic rooftops of Graz and gave them a chance to discuss important issues in the field of Research & Development.
During this event, Lea and Eva showed exceptional leadership as well as exceptional personal qualities. Their kind, always-smiling approach to Head-Organising made the forum a joy for Officials and Delegates alike.
Lea, who is a student of Biomedical Engineering at Graz University of Technology, first joined EYP Austria at the National Conference 2011 in Vienna. Since then, she has participated in both national and international EYP events as a Delegate, Chair and Organiser.
Eva, who is a student at Graz University of Technology in the field of Geomatics Engineering, started her impressive EYP career at the 1st International Youth Forum Leipzig 2011, which she attended together with Lea. As an active member of EYP Austria, Eva has not only participated in various sessions both nationally and internationally, but has also attended several other events, such as Alumni Weekends and Trainings.
Both as a team and individually, Eva and Lea are irreplaceable members of EYP Austria and we are very much looking forward to their future plans within EYP.

Graz 2013 Resolution Booklet
/in National UpdatesWe are excited to announce that after four days of hard work the amazing delegates of the European Youth Forum Graz 2013 have finished working on their resolutions, dealing with various issues in the field of Research & Development.
In the last few hours the chairs team has been working hard to provide you with a nice resolution booklet outlining their committee’s findings.
Further we are thrilled to announce that the resolutions will be discussed in our General Assembly tomorrow in the Meerscheinschlössel in Graz. The event is open to the public and you are most welcome.

Call for Head Organisers

EYP Austria is looking forward to a great school/university year 2013/14. The period will include an unseen number of sessions in Austria. Also, we will introduce the concept of Regional Sessions to our National Committee.
The Board is proud to hereby open a Call for Head Organisers for all upcoming sessions!
Head organising an event is challenging and requires a great deal of responsibility, motivation and hard work. Over a period of several months Head Organisers fundraise, book venues, publish calls and information about the event and closely cooperate with the board, to name a few of their responsibilities. Ultimately, this will guarantee another addition to the high quality sessions that EYP Austria has hosted in the past year – and it will have your name written all over it.

Austrian Alumni Weekend 2013: Call for Trainees

The EYP Austria Alumni Weekend 2013 will be held in Krems an der Donau from 2nd to 4th of August 2013 (Friday to Sunday). The event will give Austrian EYPers the chance to participate in several trainings and workshops, as well as an interesting panel debate. The Alumni Weekend will also be an out-standing opportunity to meet and socialise with other EYPers.
We have put together some excellent trainings and workshops, lead by the best trainers we could find. Take this unique opportunity to learn more about EYP, achieve some new skills and meet some outstanding fellow EYPers.

Further highlight was the founding of an alumni association. Special guests at the event were: the former Minister of Defence, Dr. Friedhelm Frischenschlager, and the Vice-President of the Union of European Federalists, Mag. Philipp Agathanos.

We cannot stress enough how important it is for all members to participate in the Generalversammlung. The General Assembly is the highest and most important instance in EYP Austria and you, the collective members of EYP Austria, get to make important decisions that affect the future of EYP Austria. Members will have the chance to elect a new board and make talk about important things concerning EYP Austria. It is most important for all members to attend the Generalversammlung and participate in the procedures of the event.
As Vienna is amongst my guilty pleasures, I cannot wait to get there this weekend and of course I expect to see all of you there. Also, there will be Socialising afterwards.

Graz 2013: Call for Delegates & Officials
/in National UpdatesEYP Austria’s International Forum Graz 2013 will take place from July 7th to 12th 2013 in the beautiful city of Graz.
We are now looking for Delegates, as well as Officials (2 Vice-Presidents, 6 Chairpersons, 1-2 Editor(s) and 6 Journalists) from all over Europe who want to join our team and make our forum an unforgettable event for all participants.
The Forum will be presided by Kerstin Eckart (DE). Inspired by Graz’s long tradition as a university city the theme of the session will be “Research & Development”.
The participation fee for Delegates is 50 EUR, respectively 30 EUR for Officials – this includes all meals, stay in an excellent resort and activities.
