Regional Sessions 2015: Call for Delegations

Dear Teachers and future Delegates,

EYP Austria is proud to open the Call for Delegations for all Regional Sessions of 2015. We are now looking for Delegations for the following sessions:

  • RS Graz, taking place in Graz from the 17th to the 18th of January 2015
  • RS Tulln, taking place in Tulln an der Donau from the 12th to the 14th of February 2015
  • RS Traunsee, taking place in Gmunden from the 18th to the 20th of February 2015

The sessions will host Austrian delegations from the surrounding regions as well as international delegations, who will be split into different groups, each one discussing a current political topic. These groups will be guided by experienced EYP members from all over Europe, making sure that the respective academic goals are achieved and fun is not missing out.

Our Regional Sessions are the perfect opportunity for students with political interest to experience their first insight into the European Youth Parliament. We will also use the Regional Sessions to select participants for our National Conference in Vienna from 1st to 4th of May 2015.

We are now looking for school delegations, each consisting out of 4 students aged 16-19, that will take part actively in order to represent their school. Please find attached the application form which needs to be returned as a PDF file to the session’s contact address (indicated on the application) by December 23rd 2014, 23:59. Update: The Call has been extended. Please hand in your application as soon as possible!

Call for Team Members: Round 2

Dear members of EYP Austria,

EYP Austria is working with teams to improve the work of the board and bring members closer to what’s going on besides our Sessions. Now, you have again the chance to be part of one or more teams and dig deeper in the day-to-day business of EYP Austria. Joining a team in EYP Austria gives you the possibility to shape our organisation in Austria and contribute to its success. We are now looking for members for the following teams:

  • Media Content Team (Florian Rogner)
  • Data Analyst (Eva Reitbauer)
  • HoodieCoordinator (Eva Reitbauer)

Call for Officials: Regional Sessions 2015

Dear EYPers,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the first round of multiple Regional Sessions in Austria. We are now looking for 2 Vice-Presidents, 5 Chairpersons, 1-2 Editor(s), 5 Journalists and 2 Jury Members for each of EYP Austria’s Regional Sessions:

  • RS Graz: 17th– 18th January 2015, head-organised by Patrick Deutschmann & Agnes Varga
  • RS Tulln: 12th -14th February 2015, head-organised by Valerie Berger & Matthias Schwertner
  • RS Traunsee: 18th -20th February 2015, head-organised by Jannis Betschki & Julia Haslauer

Please note that officials are expected to arrive at noon one day prior to the session.

Each of the Regional Sessions well be hosting around 50 delegates in total, 5 international and 45 national delegates, the latter of which will be selected to represent their region at the upcoming National Session in spring 2015. All sessions will entail Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly as well as an officials training. There will be no participation fee for officials, however, travel costs from and to the session are at your own expense.

You can apply by filling in the application form, which you can download here and sending it as a pdf to applications@eypaustria.org. The application deadline for Vice-Presidents, Chairs and Editors is Sunday, 23rd November 2014, 23:59 CET. The deadline for Journalists and Jury Members is Sunday, 30th November 2014, 23:59 CET. All applicants will be informed individually of the outcome of their application once the selection is completed. Please note that late applications will not be taken into consideration.

The selection panel for each Regional Session will consist of the respective session President, session Head-Organisers, session mentor as a representative of the board of EYP Austria and EYP Austria’s Human Resource Coordinator as a silent member. The editors will join the selection panel for journalists. The respective heads of teams (i.e. presidents and editors) will be announced on Facebook over the following weeks.

Our dedicated organising teams are looking for devoted international as well as Austrian people who wish to experience each region’s special flair together with all participants.

Call for Officials: EYP Day Salzburg

Dear EYPers,

we, Amin Oueslati and Florian Schinnerl, are happy to invite you to this year’s very last and this season’s very first session of EYP Austria: the EYP Day Salzburg! Taking place on the 19th of December 2014, it is the perfect event to start into the winter holidays and to get ready for Christmas.

EYP Days are one-day events with a revised version of the standard EYP session format, including Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly. EYP Days are the perfect way to get involved in EYP for the first time. Given the system of co-chairing, an EYP Day can be both a challenge for experienced chairs due to the time pressure, but also a chance for first-time chairs as the receive guidance by their more experienced partners.

For the EYP Day Salzburg we are now looking for 2 Vice-Presidents, 8 Chairpersons, as well as 1 Photo-Editor and 1 Video-Editor. Both Austrian and international applicants are warmly welcomed. You will have the opportunity to join our enchanting session president Ciara Robinson (UK) and our caring team of organisers!

Please fill in the application form and send it to applications@eypaustria.org. Please submit your application as a .pdf-file, and replace Firstname_Surname in the filename with your own. The application deadline for Officials is Thursday, 20th of November 2014, 23:59 CET. Please keep in mind that applications arriving after the deadline cannot be considered.

For officials the session starts one day prior in order to have some extra teambuilding and trainings that will help you make this one day a special experience for both the delegates and yourself!

Vienna 2015: Call for Organisers

Dear Members of EYP Austria,

We are thrilled to announce that, in 2015, EYP Austria’s most important session of the year will come back to the wonderful city of Vienna. The session will most likely take place from the 1st to the 4th of May 2015.

We are now looking for inspired, dedicated organisers who want to join us on the exciting journey of planning and carrying out EYP Austria’s next National Conference.

Please note that:

  • For organisers, the session will start 2 days prior to the official beginning of the session (29th of April), and organisers should be available throughout the entire session.
  • There will be two Organiser Weekends: The first will take place between mid-October and mid-November, the second in spring.

Call for trainees

Dear EYP Austria alumni,

We are delighted to open the Call for trainees to our Alumni Weekend 2014, which is to take place in Melk from 5th to 7th of September, 2014. This training event will offer various elaborate workshops focusing on New Media & PR, Chairing, Organising, Self-Presentation and the European Union.

EYP Austria’s Alumni Weekend 2014 will be an outstanding opportunity to develop existing and new skills with the support of our very experienced and approachable trainers. It offers a great chance to get to know both younger and more experienced members of EYP Austria in a challenging and fun atmosphere.

We warmly invite you to be part of this training event! Participation costs will cover accommodation and food for the weekend and amount to € 50,00 per person.
