Call for Officials: EYP Day Villach

Dear EYPers,

We, Finja Strehmann and Peter Goldsborough, are happy to invite you to this year’s first EYP Day: the EYP Day Villach! Taking place on the 6th of February 2015, it is the perfect event to start into the new year.

An EYP Day is a one-day event with a revised version of the standard EYP session format, including Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly. Such a session is the perfect way to get involved in EYP for the first time. Given the system of co-chairing, the EYP Day can be both a challenge for experienced chairs, due to the time pressure, but also a chance for first-time chairs as they receive guidance by their more experienced partners.

For the EYP Day Villach we are looking for 2 Vice-Presidents, 8 Chairpersons and 1 Journalist. Both Austrian and international applicants are warmly welcomed. You will have the opportunity to join our enchanting session president – Karim Ben Hamda from the Netherlands.

Please fill in the application form and send it to applications@eypaustria.org as a PDF file. Don’t forget to replace Firstname_Surname in the file name with your own and consult EYP Austria’s Application Writing Guide. The application deadline for Officials is Tuesday, 13th of January 2015, 23:59 CET. Keep in mind that applications that arrive after the deadline cannot be considered.

Please note that the session starts one day earlier, on the 5th of February, for officials in order to have some extra Teambuilding and training that will help you make this one day a special experience for both the delegates and yourself!

We hope to reach people who are as excited as we are to bring their sparkling ideas to our session and make it even more outstanding!

Hope to read your applications soon.

From Villach with love,

Finja and Peter.

EYP Austria Faces: Julia Haslauer

Today, we are introducing a new category on eypaustria.org: EYP Austria Faces.

We will use this category to introduce you to members of our organisation and bring them closer to you. Starting with Julia Haslauer, Regional Coordinator of Upper Austria, you can read through those articles and find out what our members do, how they got involved and what is coming up. Enjoy!

***

Julia Haslauer started her EYP journey only in 2014, when she attended the EYP Day in Linz. After the 15th National Session in Graz, she took part in several trainings at this year’s Alumni Weekend in Melk. Today, Julia is not only Regional Coordinator of Upper Austria, but also head-organiser of the Regional Session in Gmunden/Traunsee where she uses the knowledge she gathered during the Organising-Training at the Alumni Weekend. Julia is is with the words “…a session in a castle. What do you want more?”

Julia’s vast enthusiasm for our organisation and work has provided our members lovely hours at Jours Fixes, a socialising event and will – soon – at a Regional Session. We want to thank Julia for her work and are looking forward to future projects with her!
