We are beyond excited to announce the 2nd Training Event as well as the Strategy Meeting of EYP Austria 2023!
Training Events like this are the perfect opportunity to develop strengths and abilities, to get to know EYP even better and, most importantly, to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones. This Training will take place in the beautiful city of Vienna at Lassingleithnerplatz 2/3 on 18 and 19 March 2023. The Strategy Meeting will be held in the afternoon of 18 March.
The event aims to give Austrian EYPers the chance to develop their skills in high-quality training modules covering the classic EYP positions and the most basic knowledge needed. However, also training transversal skills will be a focus, thereby forming a link to the world outside the EYP bubble.
There will also be a special program for Newcomers focusing on introductions to EYP as an organisation, trainings on being a Delegate and on writing applications.
We also invite you to our yearly Strategy Meeting 2023! Like its predecessors, the 8th EYP Austria Strategy Meeting is going to focus on the organisation’s medium and long-term perspective. We invite our members – new and long-time alike, as well as alumni to share their ideas on important focus areas to improve our organisation further whilst staying in touch with the wishes and needs of the volunteers who keep it alive. If you plan on joining us exclusively for this event please arrive at the venue (Lassingleithnerplatz 2/3, 1020 Vienna) no later than 13:00 CEST on Saturday 18 March 2023.

Strategy Meeting 2023
/in National UpdatesFollowing a seven (now eight) year tradition EYP Austria held its annual Strategy Meeting this past weekend on 18 March in Vienna.
Like its predecessors, the 8th EYP Austria Strategy Meeting focused on the organisation’s medium-
and long-term perspective. We invited our members – new and long-time alike, as well as alumni to share their ideas on important focus areas to improve our organisation further whilst staying in
touch with the wishes and needs of the volunteers who keep it alive.
Based on an analysis by the Board and the input of members the topics of this years meeting were Fundraising and Event Formats. All of the Strategy Meeting outcomes will be further discussed within the Board, which is committed to implementing ideas stemming from the meeting. A full report about the outcomes of the meeting will be published at a later date and shared with the members of EYP Austria.
The Board would like to thank the engaged members who attended the event and thereby invested their time in the future of EYP Austria!

Our Austrian Delegation consisting of Chiara Auer, Elena Hammer, Elena Macura, Elisabeth Bazil, Katharina Brun, Mauro Baumann and Simon Gartner is still present at the 98th International Session of the European Youth Parliament in Tromsø. The Session last until tomorrow, we hope they are having a great time, are not freezing too much and have a safe trip back to Austria.

Global Climate Strike – 3 March, 2023

In the midst of heat waves, forest fires, floods and draughts there are more signs of the ongoing climate crisis than ever before. If you want to stand up for a social and collective fight against climate change and the energy crisis join the Global Climate Strike on 3 March at 12 CEST at Maria-Theresienplatz in Vienna or at similar times in any other major city across Austria. The Session will be taking place 4-12 March. We wish them all the best on their journey, wonderful experiences and extraordinary insights about the Arctic.
Special Edition – Florian Huber
“My name is Florian Huber and I am a member of EYP Austria! I have been fortunate enough to participate in numerous EYP sessions both domestically and internationally – as a delegate and as an official. My experiences travelling around Europe, meeting young people from different countries, getting to know new cultures, and sharing thoughts and ideas with others have left a lasting impression on me.
Many of the friendships I’ve formed with participants have endured after the sessions have ended. These unique friendships have been an incredible source of joy, support and knowledge in my life.
For me, one advantage of an Austrian session is that they provide an opportunity to reunite with friends from previous sessions more frequently.
I urge everyone who gets the opportunity to travel around for EYP to seize it! EYP has given me some of the most unforgettable experiences and opportunities to grow as an individual, and I have no doubt it will do the same for you!”
IS Training with EYP Croatia
/in National UpdatesLast week the Austrian Delegation for the International Session Tromsø had the opportunity to join an intercultural training in cooperation with EYP Croatia. During this online meeting the Delegates from Austria and Croatia got an overview of the structure of an IS, the academics as well as other important questions regarding the event. Thank you to Ivor Meštrović and Stribor Del Vechio (EYP Croatia) for their work and for making this cooperation possible. We are certain that the Delegates gained a lot from this training and will have a great time at the event together!
