Members Abroad – August 11, 2023
The International Session in Riga took place from the 23rd- 31st of July and EYP Austria was represented by Alexander Dankanich, Ilya Gulya and Simon Gartner.
Read about their experiences at the session here:
“The 96th international session of the European Youth Parliament are days I will never forget. It’s been a few days since it ended and I can now confidently say that there is no conversation I have lead, no speech I have heard and no face that I have seen that hasn’t left an impact on me. I am unbelievably grateful that I was able to meet the incredible people I met, have the singlehandedly best debates of my life and learn so much only EYP can teach someone.
Riga 2022 has shaped me into a different, more open-minded person over the course of only a couple days and will provide motivation and an example for my work in this organization for many more years.” – Simon Gartner
“The experience at EYP International Session in Riga is certainly memorable. It was not about successfully passing a resolution, but becoming more knowledgeable about the committee’s topic and the European institutions, making new friends and socialising, improving argumentation skills and, most importantly, having fun. In addition to the committee work and the General Assembly, the Austrian delegation also participated in the Cultural Day, Delegates Dinner, Euroconcert (my personal favourite!), Eurovillage, Farewell Party, Latvian Dance, Latvian Night and other unforgettable activities. Many thanks to EYP Austria for the opportunity to participate and to EYP Latvia for the great event!” – Alexander Dankanich
Furthermore, we wish Luca Schöch, Kilian Grabner and Nina Slawinska good luck at the Iberian International Forum in Vigo and Braga and a wonderful experience!
We wish Cornelie Becker a pleasant experience as Media Team Member at the Iberian IF and as always we are proud that she is representing EYP Austria.
Furthermore, Elena Szegedi is going to represent our National Committee at the Summer Academy in Cork next week. We wish her insightful training experiences and fun at the #25 Anniversary celebration of EYP Ireland.
