Alumni Weekend: Call for international Trainers

Dear EYPers,

EYP Austria is looking for international Trainers for the EYP Austria Alumni Weekend from 2nd to 4th of August 2013 in the beautiful city Krems an der Donau, near Vienna. We are looking for experienced EYPers to lead trainings and workshops in chairing (basic, and advanced), journalism & media and delegate preparation. Furthermore, we are open for proposals for other trainings.

The Alumni Weekend is set out to be a high-quality training event. Please find detailed information about the event and the application process on the following pages.

Trainers can apply using the Alumni Platform. The application deadline is 19th of April 2013, 23:59 CET. We look forward to your applications and hope to see you in Krems.

Linz 2013: Call for individual Delegates

Dear potential Delegates,

The European Youth Parliament Austria is organising a Youth Summit, which will take place in Linz from the 26th to the 29th of April 2013.

We warmly invite you to join about 150 young and motivated people, who will gather in Linz to discuss and compose resolutions for current political, social and economic issues. The session will be held under the theme ‘Human Rights in a European Context’

We are looking for enthusiastic students between the ages of 16 and 18. National delegates will be given priority during the selection process. However, we also encourage international delegates to apply for Linz 2013.

If you wish to participate, send your application to applications.linz2013@eypaustria.org by Sunday, 17.03.2013, 23:59 CET.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren!

Wie Sie bereits wissen, lädt das Europäische Jugendparlament Österreich Ihre SchülerInnen herzlich zu seiner Sitzung vom 26. – 29. April in Linz ein.

Der eigentliche Einsendeschluss für die Schulbewerbungen ist bereits vorbei, jedoch wird die Frist aufgrund technischer Probleme bei den Aussendungen bis 11. März, 14:00 verlängert.

Die Bewerbungen der Delegationen, die bereits bei uns eingegangen sind, werden natürlich im Auswahlprozess beachtet und müssen nicht nochmals eingesendet werden. Alle Bewerbungen, die nach dem neuen Anmeldeschuss eintreffen, können jedoch leider nicht berücksichtigt werden.

Wir hoffen, dass Sie diese zweite Chance nützen werden und uns Ihre Bewerbung fristgerecht zukommen lassen.

Linz 2013: Call for members of the Media Team

Dear EYP alumni,

The call for members of the media team for the Austrian National Conference 2013, taking place from the 25th to 29th of April in Linz, is now open. The session will gather around 145 participants and will be presided by Mr. Chris Hall (UK).

The programme includes an extensive CJOs teambuilding and journalist training for over a day. The session will be composed of Teambuilding and Committee Work for one and a half days respectively, followed by one day of General Assembly.

The media team will be led by Miss Karin-Liis Lahtmäe (EE). With a special focus on Visual Me-dia and extensive time for training, the media room will provide space for creativity and challenge. This will lead to high quality, not only in written but especially digital media. For this, EYP Austria is looking for 1 Editorial Assistant, 1 Video Editor and 8 Journalists.

All applications are to be sent to applications.linz2013@eypaustria.org by 13th of March 2013 23:59 CET. Applicants will be informed individually about the outcome of the selection process.

The selection panel will consist of the session Editress (Karin-Liis Lahtmäe), the President of EYP Austria (Teresa Stadler) and the Head-Organisers of the session (Lia Pachler & Jelena Stevanović).
The criteria for selection are a balance of experience, nationality and gender within the media team.

Review: EYP Day Villach 2013

On 22 February 2013 more than 70 EYP-ers gathered in Villach for the EYP Day Villach 2013. This one-day session was successfully presided by Mr. Floris Lauwers (BE) and head-organised by Lena Strehmann and Tobias Satlow. An international chairs team contributed to the great outcome of the session.

After a lively General Assembly we can now provide you with EYP Day Villach’s resolution booklet!

WHAT IS A JOUR FIXE?

Jours Fixes are an important part of EYP Austria – everyone is invited to these casual regular gatherings to talk about what is happening within our organisation and the world of EYP.

It is the perfect opportunity to get information and meet other EYPers. You can get involved in EYP Austria’s activities and projects, as well as share ideas with everyone.

Naturally, as an EYP Event, the evening will be followed by socialising afterwards.

 

EYP-er of the Month: February

David Rauch joined EYP in 2010. With his outstanding technical skills he’s (been) a great asset to four Austrian organising teams. We are curious to see what he will do for the upcoming Austrian National Conference Linz 2013.

For being a reliable and excellent programmer, we make David EYP-er of the month February. He has programmed EYP Austria’s new member management database, which the board of EYP Austria is now using. The database allows for precise handling of membership administration, provides mailing lists for our newsletters and general documentation.
