Just yesterday, six Austrian delegates have returned from Frankfurt/Main, where they represented Austria at the 64th International Session of the EYP. Under the motto ‘turning Europe inside out’ Christiane, Florentin, Jasmin, Manuel, Raphael and Teresa discussed burning topics that Europe is facing today. In addition to the regular session agenda, the World Café confronted participants of the session with external views on the European Union and will discuss economic, social and cultural issues that were discussed with experts from politics, science and economy, representatives from NGOs.
Overall, an especially exciting experience!
A new board has been elected. With the new board come great plans for upcoming sessions and fresh ideas. You will be seeing major changes, as well as old traditions, like EYP on Ski. We plan to become more accessible and host more sessions than ever.
All plans for the upcoming year, as well as the new partnership with JEF, were discussed at the annual assembly
The newly elected functionaries:
Masoumeh Moridian; President
Georg Krenn; Vice-President, Public Relations
Christiane Kraus; Vice-President, International Relations
Maria-Anna Grasl; Treasurer
Schima Labitsch; Internal Relations
Help, participate, watch; we welcome you aboard!
The 11. National Selection Conference of the EYP Austria will be held, for the first time, in Vienna. The three-day session will host 126 participants; delegations of five people from 13 Austrian schools as well as international delegates, international chairersons and also an international press team.
The primary goals of this session are to discuss important European topics and, secondly, selecting two delegations to represent Austria in the International Session in Lviv (Ukraine) in autumn, respectively in Athens (Greece) in spring 2011.
The selection will be made by an independent jury. Still, we must emphasise that the session is rather a chance for cultural exchange, discussion and making new friends.
We look forward to seeing you in Vienna in two days!
We are very pleased to announce the new partnership between EYP Austria and Junge Europäische Föderalisten Österreich (JEF). It is a common goal to encourage young people all over Europe to meet, exchange opinions and discuss current European topics, hence we are looking forward to all our future projects with JEF!
