Call for Delegates: IS Brno 2017

The IS Brno 2017 will take place in Brno, Czech Republic, between 21 and 30 July 2017* (please note that the session has not yet been granted green light and the dates could still be subject to change) under the motto “Seeking the heart of Europe”. It will bring together over 300 young people coming from the 40 European countries of the EYP network for ten days. Brno is located in the South of the Czech Republic, not too far from the Austrian border, and multiple direct train and bus connections make it very easy to reach. During the session, the European Youth Parliament will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its foundation, an event which will also be attended by many EYPers and important figures who are not participants of Brno 2017.

Brno 2017 – 85th International Session of the European Youth Parliament in Brno – is the Summer International Session of 2017, which means that the National Committees themselves are responsible for selecting a Delegation rather than the selection being a responsibility of the International Office. EYP Austria has 8 spots for Delegates and will be taking 3-5 first time IS Delegates (people that have never attended an International Session as a Delegate before). The remaining 3-5 spots* will be granted to members that have already attended one or more International Session(s) as Delegates in the past and would like to experience the flair of an IS once again. 6 spots have already been filled with applications before the extension of the deadline, leaving two spots to be filled.

The selection criteria will be outlined in the application form. The Participation Fee for Austrian Delegates is 200€. The deadline to submit your application is Sunday, 8 March 2017, 23:59 CET.
