Vienna 2015: Call for Officials

EYP Austria is hosting its 16th National Conference in Vienna from May 1st until May 4th 2015.
With its unique charm, vibrancy and flair, Austria’s beautiful capital city will provide a perfect environment for inspired debates as well as a multifaceted cultural programme. The session will gather approximately 100 delegates, most of whom are Austrian and have already experienced EYP at one of our Regional Sessions or at an EYP Day.

We are now looking for 2 Vice-Presidents, 14 Chairpersons, 3 Jury members and one or two Editor(s) to join the Officials’ team. Applicants who wish to edit together can submit a joint application. The session will be presided by Christian Macht (DE) and is being head-organised by Julia König and Maria Köpping. The Jury will be lead by Hans Maes (BE). A fourth Member of the Jury will be represented by a member of the board of EYP Austria in order to ensure a direct representation of the National Committee.

Officials are expected to arrive in the morning of April 30th to participate in Officials‘ Teambuilding and Training. There is no participation fee for Officials, but travel costs will be at participants‘ own expense.

The session theme „One in Many, Many as One – Identity in an Integrated Europe“ will emphasise the diversity of individual, regional, national, religious and ethnic identities in Europe. Topics will revolve around these various forms of identity as well as the extent of a shared European identity in the context of the advancing process of European integration.

Please submit your application by Sunday, 1st of February, 23:59 CET to applications@eypaustria.org. Please keep in mind that applications arriving after the deadline cannot be considered. All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application individually. We are happy to answer any organisational questions you might have at vienna2015@eypaustria.org. If you have questions concerning the selection process, please contact EYP Austria’s Human Resource Coordinator, Lia Pachler, at lia.pachler@eypaustria.org
