Die EU & Du 2.0: e-participation und Mitbestimmung online | 17 November

#youEU tries to find new ways of motivating young people for EU topics through an interactive platform. In this regard, e-participation offers many possibilities of rethinking active citizenship. At this event, your ideas and experiences take centre stage: How can participation be organised in the future to motivate young people for the EU? Which role do apps and social media play in this?

The online event, which is hosted by die Berater, will last from 17:00 to 18:30 today and feature a keynote address by Noella Edelmann and Michael Sachs of the Center for E-Governance at the Danube University Krems and a participatory workshop. If you’re interested in participating, make sure to sign up!

Academic Quality Team 2021/22

This week we are happy to announce the members of this year’s Academic Quality Team (AQT), which will be led by Marjan Osojnik:

  • Amina Abu Zahra
  • Christoph Belitsch
  • Stephanie Reisinger
  • Anna Tauber

The AQT is in charge of improving and securing high academic standards at all of EYP Austria’s events throughout the year. The AQT’s main responsibilities concern drafting the topics that are used at sessions, the evaluation of the academic parts of EYP Austria’s events using the Academic Quality Report, as well as working on EYP Austria’s Mini Session concept.

We want to express our gratitude to the team for committing themselves to further advance EYP Austria’s academic quality!

Selection Reports

Since the start of the new board period, several selections for positions within EYP Austria have taken place. Whenever a selection occurs in our organisation, we create a selection report, which we then share with you to provide transparency.

To increase accessibility to all of our reports, we compile all Selection Reports, PBM Reports, General Assembly Protocols and other similar documents to which we still have access in a publicly accessible folder within the EYP AT Shared Drive that everyone with an @eyp.at email address has regular access to.

You can now view the Selection Reports for Head-OrganisersGeneral Team MembersAcademic Quality Team Members, and Understanding Europe Trainers in the aforementioned folder.

At the same time, we want to spread the word on who has been selected, so expect sections announcing the different positions and teams, starting with this newsletter!

New Member Platform

After a beta-testing period, the International Office is thrilled to have launched a new version of the Member Platform yesterday, developed in cooperation with MAK IT as an open-source solution.

The new platform preserves all existing data (events, profiles, session history, evaluations, applications). When you log in to the Member Platform 3.0 for the first time, make sure to click “Forgot Password” and follow the instructions to create a new password for your account.

Please keep in mind that the site is not completely bug-free and has deliberately gone online in a sort of ”rolling review” style. You can expect an imperfect, still developing platform for which you can report bugs and suggest features.

Apart from providing an FAQ document, the International Office is hosting a Member Platform Info Session on Monday, 15 November, at 17:00, during which you can ask questions and discuss the new Member Platform. To participate, register here.
